Open Quantum Systems’ Decay across Time

چکیده

The description of an open quantum system's decay almost always requires several approximations as to remain tractable. Here, we first revisit the meaning, domain and seeming contradictions a few most widely used such approximations: semi-group Markovianity, linear response theory, Wigner--Weisskopf rotating-wave approximation. Secondly, derive effective time-dependent theory corresponding generalized regression relations for system linearly coupled environment. This covers all timescales, subsumes Markovian linear-response results limiting cases. Finally, apply our phenomenon friction.
